Realm of Echoes: Shattered Crown is the kind of RPG that only comes along once a generation. The world is vast and alive — every forest path hides a secret, every NPC has a story worth hearing. Combat is deep without being impenetrable, and the narrative threads weave together in ways that genuinely surprised us.

Performance on PC is rock-solid at 1440p/144fps with a mid-range GPU, and the New Zealand servers offer excellent latency for co-op sessions. Minor gripes: the inventory system feels dated and some side quests overstay their welcome. But these are small blemishes on an otherwise masterful experience.

NeonStrike Ops: Dark Protocol is a cyberpunk shooter that nails atmosphere above all else. The rain-soaked streets of Neo-Kyoto are a visual spectacle, and the gunplay is satisfying in a way few shooters manage. Each weapon feels distinct, and the enemy AI is genuinely challenging on higher difficulties.

The story stumbles in its second act but recovers strongly for a memorable finale. Multiplayer is well-implemented with dedicated Oceania servers ensuring smooth matches for NZ players. A few technical hiccups at launch have since been patched, making this a much cleaner experience than at release.

Wasteland Reborn is a survival game that understands tension. Nature has reclaimed the world, and every decision — where to shelter, what to eat, who to trust — carries genuine weight. The overgrown cityscapes are hauntingly beautiful, and the day/night cycle creates a rhythm that keeps you engaged across dozens of hours.

The crafting system is deep but well-documented, and co-op with friends is seamlessly integrated. The game's biggest weakness is a sparse late-game content loop that can feel repetitive. Still, for fans of the genre, Wasteland Reborn is one of the most atmospheric survival experiences available.

Apex Circuit: Midnight Run is a landmark racing title. The physics engine is the most realistic we've tested outside of a dedicated sim, yet it remains accessible enough for casual players. The 60-track roster spans mountain passes, coastal highways, and urban circuits — each with distinct handling challenges.

Visually, it's stunning at 4K/60fps, and the dynamic weather system transforms familiar tracks into entirely new experiences. Online racing is smooth thanks to dedicated Oceania servers, and the robust replay system lets you dissect every corner. This is the definitive racing game of 2025.
